If you lose your drone certificate or your personal information changes, you can apply for reissue through the Korea Transportation Safety Authority. This is separate from the certificate's validity — it applies when the physical card itself is lost or damaged.
Reissue process
- Fill out a reissue application
- Submit ID and supporting documents for any changed information
- Pay the applicable fee
- Receive your reissued certificate
Common reasons for reissue
The most common reason is a lost physical card, followed by a legal name change (e.g. after marriage) or address change. Some also request reissue when an old photo no longer clearly identifies them.
If this is your first time
Most of the process can be done online, but it can feel unfamiliar the first time. Your original training center can usually walk you through the reissue process — a good first call if you're not sure where to start.
