Drones can photograph an entire large site in a short time and generate orthophotos and 3D data from it. Using drone data at each stage — pre-construction site survey, mid-project progress checks, and final post-completion inspection — captures changes quantitatively that a visual check alone would miss.
What determines accuracy
That said, accurate results depend on more than aircraft capability — flight planning and post-processing skill matter just as much. Poor altitude, overlap, or GCP placement can significantly hurt accuracy, so it's worth planning flights with someone who has real field experience.
