- Whether lecture time and hands-on flight time are well balanced
- Whether dedicated practice space (an outdoor flying field or indoor practice area) is actually available
- Whether the program connects into real industrial or filming work after certification
Why real-world experience matters
Hands-on industry experience is hard to get from certification alone, so it's worth checking whether the academy is connected to actual industrial projects or filming work. Academies that stop supporting you once you're certified are very different from ones that go on to connect you with real project opportunities.
